Ojstrica, bench with a spectacular view of Lake Bled

It might be that you decided to visit Bled just after seeing some beautiful picture with the bench and the view of Lake Bled from Ojstrica on Instagram. And yes, when in Bled, Ojstrica is absolutely worth visiting.

Even if you're not in your best shape right now, don't worry – you will manage to walk up to there. It only takes 20 minutes to get to the most incredible view of Lake Bled together with its pretty island in the middle.

So, how do you get there? You can start in Zaka, which is at the western coast of Bled Lake, on the way to Bohinj. Turn right behind Villa Bled and park your car at the parking lot near camp Zaka. The way to Ojstrica will be on your right side once you pass the camp. Just follow the sign and take the path up through the forest. In 15 minutes you'll get to the fork on the path, where one way leads to Ojstrica and another to Mala Osojnica. Take the right path, and you're almost there!

Ojstrica is at the altitude of 611 metres. You can sit on the little bench and relax in the nature, or you can do what pretty much everyone does – hunt for the best light and composition and pose for the photos.

If you have some energy left after posing, you can continue your way up to Mala Osojnica, which is on the altitude of 675 metres. It will take you no more than 15 minutes.

But even if it's an easy hike, please wear appropriate shoes! The path can be slippery.
